Madison Trust for Historic Preservation

ZERBADOG’s studio, a 1912 Carnegie Library, was recognized by the Madison Trust for Historic Preservation for our preservation efforts so it is only natural ZEBRADOG would develop a more modern relevant identity for this spectacular organization founded in 1974. Like the Madison Trust, the architectural Keystone represents the center of a community of parts all placed together and structurally sound. Placing the word “TRUST” as a prominent graphic word in (the alphabet soup of) the name was critical so anyone seeing this logo would see and remember that one word. This word exemplifies their mission, vision, and the collective belief in preserving sacred places.

Madison LakeWay

 

ZEBRADOG’s 30+ year expertise in brand development was tapped to create a name and graphic identity system for a visionary Madison Parks District being created to transform the cityscape forever. This master plan aims to create an inclusive community destination that will boost Madison’s downtown economy and ecology by strengthening the land-to-lake connection on the isthmus. ZEBRADOG developed a name and visual brand that reflects diverse lakeshore interactions. Centered on wildlife protection and restoration, the logo features a painted turtle—symbolizing the project’s layout, proximity to the capitol, and the connection of nature and city life. The turtle also honors the Ho-Chunk Nation, nodding to their nearby turtle effigy mound, linking the project to Madison’s indigenous peoples.

 

Mint Mark

ZEBRADOG spun up a new identity system for the Mint Mark restaurant as it moved to a signature new environment. Inspired by the cozy, tropical, Hollywood-regency vibe, the brand honors the restaurant’s original building’s roots in coin-minting, while embracing its fresh new culinary chapter. Botanical elements were added to reflect the lush patterns that defined Mint Mark’s beloved ambiance. This is a MUST visit!

Madison Oral Surgery + Dental Implants

ZEBRADOG originally developed this brand graphic in 1998 and recently had a chance to reimagine, refresh, and retool this now distinguished icon within the oral health profession. This time-honored and recognizable mark stands for the future of dental technology, un-paralled healthcare, and praises the trustworthy surgeons who make it all happen. ZD created a detailed new brand guide with several logo variations that has given MOSDI the tools to ensure consistent reproduction across all patient touchpoints for years to come. 

North Hills Country Club

This spectacular Country Club in New York approached ZEBRADOG to create a logo and visual communications plan in preparation for their 100-year anniversary. A championship Robert Trent Jones Sr. golf course is the centerpiece of this special place, just 17 miles from New York City. ZEBRADOG created the logo around the course’s iconic bridge, symbolizing the strong bond of friendship and community that has been at the heart of the club for a century. The design also incorporates a series of former logo styles, creating a hybrid that reflects the membership’s rich traditions. A new apparel and signage program will roll out soon, ensuring that a new generation of Long Islanders continues to share in the pride of membership.

Superette by Mint Mark

Following the success of the Mint Mark brand, ZEBRADOG developed a unique identity for their new adjacent market, Superette. Inspired by 1970s French grocery stores, this groovy, distinctive brand complements Mint Mark and positions Superette as a must-visit bodega in Madison. Stocked with local snacks, Mint Mark favorites, and a curated liquor selection, Superette’s playful brand ensures it stands out while staying connected to its sister restaurant.

MHB Real Estate

MHB is unique from other realtors in that they charge a fixed fee rather than a percentage of the home sale to their clients. MHB asked ZEBRADOG to create a brand identity system that highlighted their unique process and set them apart in the marketplace. ZD set them even farther apart by making their logo circular, a friendly organic shape that allows their signs to break out of the typical “for sale” sign and be easily identifiable. By adding a forever forward arrow icon and creating a new tagline, Forward • Focused • Results, they now have a visual system that matches their forward thinking personality.
