Our Veterans Memorial Museum came alive through the passion and expertise of the ZEBRADOG team.

Located on the campus of UW-La Crosse, the Veterans Hall of Honor is an interactive story space focused on honoring and remembering those who have served through a variety of exhibits and media. Unique features are storytelling exhibits, updatable Veterans databases, and a video recording station where guests can leave messages for veterans or servicemen and women.
When you enter the Hall of Honor, you’ll see a pair of bronzed boot prints. The boots were issued to Sgt. Maj. Wayne Hertz in May 2002. Hertz wore the boots to many memorials of fallen Marines. In all, the boots saw three combat tours and carried Hertz many miles.
“Let us pledge never to forget” is emblazoned above the American flag to remind every visitor to the Hall of Honor at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex to thank, remember, and honor all those who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America. The 13-acre Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex includes Roger Harring Stadium, as well as a soccer field, tennis courts, practice, and intramural fields.
UWL is a top school for military and veteran students according to a 2023 ranking from Military Times annual Best for Vets: College rankings placing UWL at number 35 in the Midwest, and 199 in the country.
